Work Experience

Boeing, A global aerospace company | 1+ year total

User Experience Designer | Virtual Airplane, July 2023 – Present (Seattle, WA)

I work on an application to help students learn how to fly planes & become pilots.

Forum One, A digital agency in the mission-driven sector | 5.7 years total

Senior User Experience Designer, September 2022 – June 2023 (Seattle, WA)

During my many years at Forum One, I worked on many Drupal and WordPress website redesigns, brand new products, and audience research projects. I led projects from start to finish – through discovery, design, deliver, and even postlaunch. As a Senior UX Designer, I led large and complex projects, and became a leader within my organization’s design team by helping define team processes and mentoring junior team members.

User Experience Designer, June 2019 – August 2022 (Alexandria, VA and Remote)

In this role, I led the UX strategy of my projects. I ran workshops, rapidly created site maps, wireframed prototypes, and ran usability testing. I also expanded my user interface design skills by doing visual design – applying a client’s brand, adding interactive elements, and meeting accessibility standards. I also helped our design team transition to designing scalable component-based design systems for clients.

User Experience Associate, October 2017 – May 2019 (Alexandria, VA)

In this role, I supported many projects while growing my skills and expertise. I ran audience interviews, made wireframes, created content models with developers, and effectively presented my work both internally and to clients. I also led discovery projects and helped win additional contracts doing more UX, strategy, and development work.
